Meghan Simmons, Manager of Economic Development
The Economic Development Advisory Board was reestablished in August 2007 to advise and work in conjunction with the Manager of Economic Development to identify and promote economic development opportunities, support and encourage industrial, commercial, retail and residential development within and nearby the City, and interface with local and other government agencies.
Accomplishments to Date:
- Advocates of Mixed of Employment (MOE) zoning amendments which were approved by City Council
- Advocates of changes to the Residential Business (RB) Zoning District which removed certain uses that will help our Downtown continue to grow and attract sustainable business
- Established a Strategic Plan
