Reporting Pot Holes

Due to weather and traffic, pot holes spring up on a regular basis throughout the area. During the fall and winter months, we will most likely use cold mix (black top made to stay soft) to fix pot holes anytime during the year. This is a temporary fix. When the weather turns warm, we will use Hot Mix as it is a permanent fix. Call 410-939-1800 x 1130 with location.

Reporting Deceased Animals

To report dead animals, please call one of the following numbers based on the location:
State Roads: 410-838-7788County Roads: 410-638-3532 • City Streets: 410-939-1800
Note: City staff cannot remove dead animals located on private property. In this case, nature must take its course.

Reporting Light Pole Outages

When reporting, please have street location and pole number (pole number is posted on the pole). Contact BGE directly at bge.com or call us at 410-939-1800 x1130.

Reporting Hanging Tree Limbs

City trees are those within 35 ft. of the center of the road. (25 ft. in the newer sections of Havre de Grace) If it is beyond that, the tree is the responsibility of the home owner. If a neighbor's tree limb is hanging over your property, the two of you will need to work this out. If the neighbor's tree limb falls onto your property, you may be responsible for removing it. Contact your Insurance Company for assistance.

Please give us a call at 410-939-1800 x 1130 if you have any questions.
