This Department is made up of individuals who are committed to the maintenance and renewal of the city’s infrastructure. This includes the City buildings, streets, sidewalks, curbs, trees, parks, and the City Yacht Basin. You will see DPW staff daily around the community working to make sure the quality of life here is the best it can be.

Within our Water Plant, our employees are working to provide drinking water of the highest quality for our residents and businesses and in sufficient quantity to provide fire protection. Within the Wastewater Plant, our employees treat the water to the highest level possible to preserve the Chesapeake Bay and manage storm water run-off to protect property and the Bay.
