The City of Havre de Grace has a number of Boards and Commissions that support the City and its residents in a number of ways. If you would like to be a working member of one the boards or commissions you may submit an application to City Hall, 711 Pennington Ave., Havre de Grace, MD 21078 or call (410) 939-1800.
Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
ARTS COMMISSION
Mission: Coordinate, promote and support performing and fine arts events within the City.
Number of Members: No less than eleven (11) members and no more than twenty (20) members.
Term: Staggered one (1) and two (2) year terms with consecutive term being two (2) years.
When we meet: Fourth Wednesday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at the Police Department

LANDLORD/TENANT COMMISSION
Mission: To encourage good relations between Landlords and Tenants and to support and encourage a safe and healthy living environment for citizens who reside in rental housing.
Number of Members: Eleven (11) members.
(two (2) rental owners - 12 units or less, two (2) rental owners - 13 units or more, one (1) Chamber Board, four (4) at-large tenants, one (1) member of Department of Economic Development & Planning.
Term: Three (3) years.
When we meet: No less than six (6) times a year with one (1) meeting in April for nominations and one (1) meeting in June for election of officers.

RAD - - LOAN APPLICATION REVIEW COMMISSION
Mission: Provide informed recommendations on loan applications submitted under the City's "gap" financing R.A.D. Revolving Loan Fund Program to the Mayor and City Council, who make the final approval on the loan requests.
Number of Members: Seven (7) members.
Term: Two (2) years. Members are required to be sworn-in. Consists of: 2 Banking Professionals (but not to exceed 3) and 1 Accountant/CPA, 1 Business Professional and 1 Citizen/Resident of Havre de Grace. At least one member from the Department of Economic Development and the City Attorney, both of which hold an "Ex-Officio" position on the Committee with no voting power. (Resolution # 2007-03)
